The other week I was thinking about the 101 Things in 1001 Days challenges I set myself. And I noticed challenge number 101: Shave/wax all the hair off my body. I figured "Hey, now’s a good a time as any to do it."
But then I figured, "Hey if i’m going to put myself through that kind of pain for no real reason, I might as well do it for a good cause."
After a little research I decided to choose "Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research" as my charity of choice.
Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research is the only charity in the UK dedicated exclusively to researching blood cancers and disorders including leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and other lymphomas, and myeloma. These are cancers which are related to blood and the immune system.
I'm doing this charity as a dedication to a friend of mine who has been battling with leukaemia for quite some time....
So this is the plan. On Tuesday 26th April 2011 I will be removing ALL of the hair on my body. From my head to my toes, arms legs, chest, back, sack, crack, EVERYTHING! Even the eyebrows.
Man, that’s going to look weird.
So what can you guys do? You can sponsor me in my waxing and shaving event. Any amount of money donated is greatly appreciated and who knows, the donation you give may save somebodies life. Maybe even somebody that you know.
As for the waxing event I will be recording it and posting it on the Internet to your viewing pleasure.
