Starlight grants magical wishes to seriously and terminally ill children who are afraid and in pain, and is the only charity providing entertainment, fun and laughter to half a million children in every hospital and hospice throughout the UK.

The Starlight Challenge!
Hello all, Hannah Redding here (Kitty Golightly's mild mannered alter-ego...)
Many of you will know that I lost one of my younger brothers, Matthew, in April 2009. Since then I've have been celebrating his life by running for charity in this name. I miss him a lot and, well, it keeps me getting up in the morning!
This time I'm taking part in a series of events, starting with two triathlons in July (Norwich and London) an adventure race and a marathon.
The adventure race is a team effort - I'm running with one of my students, the lovely Kelly French; and my very good old-school-school-friend Mr Patrick Spragg. If I'm honest, I'm hoping I can rope them into a couple of triathlons too...

The challenge is raising money for Starlight, a fantastic children's charity that grants once in a lifetime wishes for seriously and terminally ill children. These wishes are so much more than a "treat"; the children who receive them are very, very unwell and are often undergoing painful and prolonged medical treatment. No wish is too big; and Starlight does an amazing job of bringing hope and light into little lives.
