Hayley Titley's Gap Year Fundraising Page

My name is Hayley Titley, I am 16 years old and am a 6th year pupil at Earlston High School. I have always been keen to take a gap year before going to university and Project Trust has offered me the chance to do so.  Next year I will be taking a gap year to Guyana where I will be teaching maths and science to children of various ages. The Guyanese country that I will be working in will be poorly resourced and I hope to be able to convey my enthusiasm for the subjects to the pupils. In doing so I hope that the pupils will not only enjoy and learn from my teaching but that they will be eager to continue learning after I have left. I will also be able to set up secondary projects that are of community interest e.g. sports activities and social groups.

Project Trust is a long standing gap year organisation that has been sending volunteers to places like Guyana for 40 years. The charity ensures all its projects are beneficial to the local people and that they aren't depriving locals of jobs.

In order to go on this amazing and life changing experience I must firstly raise £5,100. Through virginmoney giving you can donate money that will be sent to Project Trust to help me reach this total. Other ways of donating or contacting me are through my email-
