Charity

RNLI
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that saves lives at sea. The RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 22 people every day around the coasts and waterways of Britain and Ireland. From 235 lifeboat stations, they are well trained and equipped to put to sea in the most fearsome conditions when the call comes. RNLI lifeguards patrol more than 140 beaches in England and Wales. As well as rescuing people from the water, they are also on hand for first aid and safety advice, making sure everyone can make the most of their day at the beach. Are you passionate about the water? Do you want to be part of a lifesaving team? Whatever the reason for your interest in our work, we’d love to have you onboard. The RNLI is an independent charity and receives no government funding. We rely on public support.

UPDATE: On 24/05/2014, Laurence Mills, Tom Haller and Tom Hutton will be embarking on an 84 mile walk of a stretch of Hadrian's Wall. They aim to complete this within 36 hours. Laurence and Tom Haller have very kindly agreed to donate their fundraising to the RNLI through the TeamHutton webpage.

As many of you may know, in July 2012 we lost our younger brother Charlie Hutton, aged 14, in a tragic boating accident. The RNLI were absolutely amazing in their efforts and we wanted to show our appreciation for the incredible work they do.

Having raised over £15,000 by the end of 2013, we have decided to continue raising money in Charlie's name for this great charity and now aim to raise £20,000 by the end of 2014. We have lined up a number of events, which you can see below in our events calendar.

Please help us to continue to raise money for this extremely worthy cause by donating as little or as much as you can.

As an extra incentive to donate Sam has made his first album a free download on his website. Click the link below and enjoy!

Sam has also been working on a charity single that he wrote and played at Charlie's memorial service. It's now available on itunes with all profits going to the RNLI. Listen and buy if you like it here: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/rescued-single/id730963652

The page will remain open as an enduring legacy to our brother Charlie.

Thanks again for your support
Tom, Sam, Simon & Gill.

The annual 'Charlie Hutton Hockey Festival': In Sept 2013 the Festival was held again at Whitgift and raised over £1,000. We would like to thank Whitgift for their continued support.

Whitgift School: “In honour of Charlie Hutton, a former pupil, Whitgift School is supporting the RNLI as one of their chosen charities this year.  Fundraising events have included: a disco for Years 6 and 7, a concert celebrating students’ musical and dancing talents and an inter-House fundraising competition.  So far, the pupils have raised £4,000 for the RNLI.” Head of Charities.

And Cumnor House School, Charlie's prep school, raised an amazing £9,000 on their Charity Morning for the RNLI in May 2013.
