Its Good 2 Give!
It's Good 2 Give offers support to children and young people with cancer and their families. We also try to make life a little bit easier on a day to day basis. Some of the things we do are: Parents Packs Proper shower gel, an eye mask, a good book - little luxuries to make extended hospital stays a bit more bearable Nutritional snacks Smoothies, Nuts, fruit, cheese and biscuits, crisps and treats - parents and patients need their energy at this hard time Practical workshops - fun and practical workshops for young cancer patients and their families - from bookbinding to jewellery making, cupcake decorating to confidence building there's something for everyone. Requests A phone to call friends, or a laptop to keep on top of schoolwork or vital repairs to the family car to keep them mobile - we can't promise but we always try We are currently building a retreat for families to use for a short break together - a purpose-built, restful, safe place for those affected by cancer. We are also supporting the work at the new Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh by funding wall art and improved seating for parents.

It's Good 2 Give Wishing Trees

My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

A donation of £1 or £2 (more would be lovely too!)appreciated per message

Want to celebrate christmas by putting a message for loved ones or a wish (one lady has wished for a kind, handsome man, many of course are wishing for health and happiness in 2012 but you can wish for anything you like) onto one of our tags and we will add them to our three trees in St Andrew Square gardens.  We have named these three trees Faith, Hope and Charity for the next two weeks!

We also have wishing trees inside Craigie’s Farm shop and Zest salons so feel free to pop along to them and add a tag to their trees.

Perhaps your business, school, university might consider taking some of our tags and asking staff to participate – please get in touch and we will gladly deliver some tags and a collecting box to you.

Our volunteers will be in the gardens (weather permitting )part of the day at weekends starting on Saturday 10 December.

It's Good 2 Give is a tiny charity with huge ambitions - aims to raise £1m to support children and young people with cancer and their families.  Do visit the website for more information!

Thank you so much for your wish......
