Charity

The Prostate Cancer Charity
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and one man dies of it every hour in the UK. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK's leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We are fighting prostate cancer on every front - by funding and encouraging research, providing support and information for diagnosed men, and their friends and family, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the most comprehensive range of services of all the prostate cancer charities and offer the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline supported by specialist nurses who provide free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. Your support could help save men's lives.

Jonty's New York Marathon

Fundraiser:

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JontyDean

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. I am going to run the New york Marathon on behalf of Prostate cancer charity.  I am running for them as my family have been affected by this cancer.  My dad was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer in November 2009 and under went an operation in January 2010 to remove his prostate and he is going for a blood test July 2010 to see if the cancer was isolated in the prostate or has spread.  My Uncle (my dad's brother) was diagnosed with Prostate cancer March 2010 and he is currently under going treatment with hormones in preperation for radiation therapy in Septemmber 2010.  This is a herediatry cancer in our family as my Grandad died of this in 1991.  It is very likely that either my brother or I will be effected by this in our lifetime.  Please can you sponsor my for such a worthy and personal cause.

Many Thanks

Jon
