Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. We’ve saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and survival has doubled over the past 40 years. We fund research into more than 200 types of cancer from the most common, such as breast, bowel, lung and prostate cancers, to rare types of tumours and children’s cancers, we support groundbreaking science that benefits everyone.
Cardiac Risk In The Young
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) aims to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. For more information please contact CRY on 01737 363 222 or

We've decided, as many people do in January, that it was time to face the cold, put on our trainers (and hats, gloves and jumpers) and head out onto the streets. A few of us thought it would be a good idea to have an aim, a reason to keep on heading out into the cold. We landed on the idea to raise money for charities that are close to our hearts, so that we would not only get fitter, but also do some good for countless others in the process. As this idea has grown, so has the will to raise as much money as possible. We are lucky to be in the position that we are able to challenge ourselves, whilst giving to two hugely important charities. We have a number of half marathons, marathons, 24 hour races and many more events lined up for the coming year! So please, follow us on our journey as we aim to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young ( and for Cancer Research UK ( in the hope that we can do some good for those who are in need.
