What do you do when you are fat, middle aged and can barely ride a bicycle? Well if you're me you decide to squeeze into Lycra and follow several hours behind four rather fitter cyclists.

Lejog is approximately 1000 miles from lands end in the south to John o Groats in the North of Scotland.

I wasn't going to raise any money for charity feeling that people should do things just for the sake of doing them, but it seemed churlish not too when there are so many good causes needing money.

For this event I am raising money for Heads Together. This does fantastic work in the realm of mental health. This is the brainchild of Prince William and Prince Harry.

Your support would be much appreciated, whether that is financial or just looking at the work that Heads Together do, and becoming more aware of the issues surrounding mental health that effect so many.

Many thanks
