Hope And Play - At Hope and Play we believe it is every child’s right to grow up in a safe and playful environment with hope for a happy future. Our projects are about creating opportunities for children who don't have this basic right. We have created seaside playspaces for children who have never seen the sea. We are building playgrounds in areas which have been battered by occupation and war. We have sent educational laptops to schools in refugee camps to help provide a richer education. We bring hope and play to children whose circumstances deny them both. We are currently supporting children in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and in refugee camps in the Middle East.

Doing good with minimal chaffing.

We're riding from London to Paris, over 200 miles, to raise money for children in Gaza. This annual rise has so far built a playground, supplied schools in refugee camps with educational laptops, funded a beach summer camp for traumatised children, and is currently building a children's library in Gaza.

This year, we want to do more. We have proposals for more libraries and playgrounds, which we are evaluating, as well as an ongoing initiative for education for disabled children in Gaza. As we confirm specific projects, we will post them up here.

Our charity, Hope and Play, will pass all donations through this page directly to the projects. There are no administrative costs taken by the charity, as these are covered entirely by the founders and trustees. Check with individual riders how they are covering the bike ride costs - no donations on this page will go to these costs.

Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
