QPR In The Community Trust
QPR in the Community Trust aims to inspire change by providing projects based in the local community that will have a positive outcome on participants health, education, social inclusion or sports participation. We are no longer just football based but have a multi activity approach to challenge issues faced in disadvantaged or deprived areas of West London. We wish to use the power of the Football Club to forge stronger and deeper connections with the community. Our focus is on creating progressive, vibrant hubs of sporting and social activities leading to enhanced life experiences. We wish to be innovative and creative in tackling issues facing the community. Many of our projects are delivered in partnership with organisations to have the greatest impact. Here are some examples of our recent work: Kickz: Targeted at young people aged 12-18 indisadvantaged areas - the aim is to create safer, stronger communities. It tackles anti social behaviour and low level crime through partnerships with LA, Housing Associations and youth offending teams. Not just football focused offers boxing, street dance, basketball, encourages volunteering and provides routes back into education, training and employment. QPR Tiger Cubs on partnership with the Down Syndrome Association we provide children and young people with Downs Syndrome the same benefits of being on a team as their able bodied peers. Study Support Centre offers a six week after school study support programme with the aim to improve numeracy, literacy and ICT skills run in partnership with H&F Council and DfES. Roadwise rangers: teaching road safety to children in White City. Extra Time: Social Club for the Over 60s offering activities, cultural meals and day trips. Breakfast clubs: tackling obesity though sport and a healthy breakfast to start the day.

My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Martin and I are hoping to raise money for QPR in the Community Trust, it's a fantastic charity which helps the QPR community including disabled and underprivelaged young people through sport to enhance their lives. It's great to see the Down's Syndrome team QPR tiger Cubs out on the pitch at half time, this wouldn't be possible without the support of QPR and the trust.

This will be a challenge in itself just to raise our target of £200, it will also be a bigger challenge for Martin as he was out of the running circle whilst recovering from a knee operation that he had to repair torn muscles. At the moment he can achieve 5k and the next challenge for him will be 10k! Mine will be to stay injury free and join him so that we can support this community charity.

Please donate, no matter how small, every little helps.
