Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation (0% commision) and UK Tax payers can select the gift aid option in order to increase their donation at no extra cost to themselves. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

On the 4 November 2010 four teams of serving and ex-serving individuals from each of Her Majesty's Armed Forces will begin an epic 'March For Honour'.  Starting in four separate locations across the UK, the teams will dedicate and speed-march a mile for every British military life lost on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001. Wearing military uniform, each team will march an average of around 30 miles a day and a total distance of up to 250 miles, carrying forty pounds of equipment.

The Royal Marines will start from the Plymouth Hoe War Memorial in Plymouth, The Royal Navy from HMS Victory in Portsmouth, The Army from Cardiff Castle in Cardiff and the Royal Air Force from RAF Wittering near Peterborough.  The four teams will cover an average distance of 30 miles per day from the 4th-12th November 2010.

The teams will unite along the route before marching into London on 11 November to deliver the Book of Remembrance to the Royal Albert Hall for The Royal British Legion's National Festival of Remembrance. Their target is to raise £1 million for The Royal British Legion who work so hard to support the welfare, interests and memories of serving and ex-serving forces, and their families.

In November 2009 Ram decided he wanted to do something to raise awareness, and formulated a plan to speed march a sponsored mile to mark each loss the British Armed Forces have sustained since operations in Iraq and Afghanistan began in 2001.

"I wanted to emphasise that every Service man and woman who serves in Her Majesty's Forces are valued and will always be remembered, as well as raising £1 million for The Royal British Legion whose mission is to safeguard the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or have served in the Armed Forces."

The teams will also be joined by veterans along the route.

UK Tax payers' donations are eligible for the gift aid facility.  When prompted, this will increase the donation by 28% at no extra charge to the donor.  For example, a typical donation of £25 can be increased to £32 by opting for the gift aid option.
