Brain Research Trust - The Brain Research Trust (BRT) is one of the UK’s leading charities in the field of neurological research. We were established in 1971 to promote and support research into the causes, treatment, prevention and cure of neurological diseases. We do this by funding basic and clinical research at University College London’s world-renowned Institute of Neurology (IoN). Since the BRT was founded, we have given over £30 million to the IoN to help finance their research programmes and PhD studentships. From the more than 250 identifiable neurological conditions, the BRT's support helps further research into: Alzheimer's disease brain tumours multiple sclerosis stroke Parkinson's disease epilepsy motor neurone disease migraine brain trauma spinal cord regeneration

2011 Run to the Beat

Run to the Beat is a half marathon with live music played around the course. The course starts and finishes at the O2 Arena and takes the runners around Greenwich. With music stations along the way, Run to the Beat is a great event for both runners and music lovers.

Hi,

Thanks for visiting my page.

I intend to run this half marathon in loving memory of Joshua Brown who died suddenly aged just ten years of age. Whilst I never knew Joshua personally, I am well acquainted with members of his extended family and have been impacted by his death. I understand that he was a bright, bubbly and talented little boy. So let us honour the memory of this young man of  promise and make a contribution to the Brain Research Trust, a worthy cause.

The Brain Research Trust is one of the UK’s leading charities in the field of neurological investigation that funds world-class research into neurological conditions and diseases, based at UCL's Institute of Neurology, London. They were established in 1971 to promote and support research into the causes, treatment, prevention and cure of neurological diseases.

You may not have known Joshua, perhaps you don't know me personally, but nevertheless, I would implore you to give generously to this FANTASTIC charity ... :o)
