Hi, thanks for visiting my page!

If you can spare enough money to make a donation - as little as £1 - you will be sent an automatic 'thank you' email; scroll down to the message from me to find a secret soundcloud link, where you can download my song “Baby of the Storm”.

Why donate?

Typhoon Haiyan (known locally as Yolanda) was 300 miles wide when it hit the Philippines on November 8th 2013. It is one of the most intense tropical storms to ever make landfall anywhere in the world. It brought torrential rain, sustained winds of over 195mph and a storm surge of up to 30 feet that devastated coastal areas.

Recent figures show that the storm killed at least 6,190 people, left 1,785 people missing, and 4 million either homeless or with damaged homes. Survivors are now in urgent need of help, including emergency shelter, clean water and food, providing jobs and restoring health and sanitation services.

The DEC brings 14 leading UK aid charities together in times of crisis:Action Aid, Age International, British Red Cross, CAFOD, Care International, Christian Aid, Concern Worldwide, Islamic Relief, Merlin, Oxfam, Plan UK, Save the Children, Tearfund and World Vision; all collectively raising money to reach those in need quickly.

And - if you donate, not only will you be contributing to a great cause, but you will get your own copy of the song!

The Song

Baby of the Storm” is a song written from the perspective of a new mother in the aftermath of the Philippines typhoon. To read the lyric or get more information on the song, please visit my blog at http://meghannclancy.blogspot.co.uk/
