Charity
Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people. We are dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change. Our innovative education, employment, housing and well-being services address individual needs and help people to transform their lives. We measure our success and can demonstrate tangible results and value for money. We are determined campaigners, working to prevent people from becoming homeless and advocating solutions informed by research and our direct experience. We have ambitious plans for the future and are committed to help more people in more places across the UK. We know we won’t end homelessness overnight or on our own. But we take a lead, collaborate with others and, together, make change happen. Registered Charity Numbers: E&W1082947, SC040094

Mucky Ducks's fundraising page
Hi, we're the Mucky Ducks. So named for the white swans which adorned the inky black water separating the Crisis Dependency Centre from Rough Sleepers last Christmas and which none of us were brave enough to challenge to a duel!
We are entering the Crisis Mission Oxford Challenge with the aim of raising as much money as possible to help the Crisis Mission in Oxford (in case you hadn't sussed that bit) by taking up the challenges set us by Anneka Rice (yes, you read that right, complete with yellow jump suit we hope) and Jeremy “Paxo” Paxman (yes, you read that right too, complete with sneering sigh to cut any ego down to size we also hope)
We will be undertaking a series of challenges which will test us from London to Oxford and back again in one day, with only the power of the sun and an iPhone to help us (that bit may be partly or even entirely made up) in Swan Lake-style white tutus (sadly for the populaces of London and Oxford that bit is true) and we will be raising at least £750 or even more if we can (and the truth of that is down to you and your generosity).
None of us would have emailed you asking for your support if we didn't think of you as the sort of person who would respond positively, so even if you can only spare a fiver (that's not even a pair of drinks these days) you'll be making a difference. Homelessness is closer to any of us than we might dare to think and it doesn't need the strongest pillar of your life to crumble to put you on the street; the weakest one is just as dangerous. We are unlikely ever to end homelessness because the reasons it comes about are as numerous as the homeless themselves. But, we can fight it and this is an important step in that fight.
Please give as generously as you can.
Thanks,
Amanda, George, Nick D, Nick G & Owen
