Anthony Nolan - Someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer such as leukaemia every 23 minutes. A blood stem cell (or bone marrow) transplant is often the only cure. Currently Anthony Nolan is only able to provide a matching donor for half the people that come to us in need of a lifesaving transplant. With your help we can grow our register of remarkable people willing to donate their stem cells, facilitate more transplants and save more lives. Keep Your Eye On The Ball 10K Run For Men

05 June 2011

The Keep Your Eye On The Ball 10K is organised by Everyman, the UK's leading male cancer campaign, in partnership with The Professional Footballers Association. This unique 10km run is exclusively for men and gives participants the opportunity to take part individually and on behalf of their chosen football club to raise money for male cancer research. Similar to The FA cup, lower division teams will find themselves pitted against the top Premiership clubs in the battle to see who is the fastest over 10km. At the end of the race, the winning team will be the one with the fastest average running time. Prizes will also be awarded for the fastest individuals and top fundraisers. All participants will be asked to pay a small registration fee and encouraged to raise _100 through sponsorship. All money raised will go to the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign, which funds research into testicular and prostate cancer. Participants also have to option to complete a 5km run

Hello there everyone! I signed up to this run on Saturday so i know there's not much time to get the money in but we'll have a go at it regardless.

The Keep Your Eye On The Ball is a really cool themed run and it's in my local park so I thought why not?! As well as raising money for the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign I (think) that i'm raising money for the Anthony Nolan Charity too! I have to look into that though...They really sorted me and my friend out after we did the half-marathon! 

So yeah I'm looking to raise £50 with my 10k run for the charity's and remember, every little helps!!!

 

Last time I did a 10k run I had loads of support so any help this time round will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance for any donations :)
