2010 Virgin London Marathon

25 April 2010

The Virgin London Marathon is one of the great British sporting events, combining elite athletics, mass participation and record-breaking fundraising in one race. The course is a gruelling 26 miles 385 yards long, passing through the streets of London from Blackheath to the famous finish line at The Mall. Since the first race in 1981, 746,635 runners have passed the finish line and raised more than £400 million for charities and good causes. Last year alone a staggering £47.2 million was raised, making the event a Guinness World Record holder as the largest annual fundraising event on the planet.

Hey thanks for visiting, in a moment of madness I decided to run the 2010 london marathon, I can hear you all laughting right now!!! I am aiming to finishing in 5 hours. I am running for children with leukaemia a charity decidecated to fighting the biggest childhood cancer.  Please dig deep and sponsor me.

update 15.1.10 - ok so in more madness I have now signed up for the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May and the Loch Ness Marathon in October, so dig deep people, love for you all xxx

update 6.4.10 - place for Loch Ness has been confirmed but decided Edinburgh was too soon after London, always next year.  Had an amazing charity night on the 31st March and managed to smash my target on the night so am increasing it to £4000, still need you all to dig deep, love for you all xxx
