West London Action For Children
West London Action for Children is a small, independent charity that provides therapy and counselling services for vulnerable children, and their parents, in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Kensington & Chelsea. Our mission is to help families draw on their strengths to overcome challenges and become the parents they want to be, with children who flourish. Our profesional team of counsellors and therapists offer help to over four hundred families a year. These families are affected by a range of issues including: abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, poverty, bullying, divorce, bereavement, emotional and relationship difficulties and the challenges faced by parents. We provide them with a specialist service for local children and families which is tailored to the needs of the individual.

Nick Bailey is not a natural runner; you only have to look at the photo on the left to realise that.

This makes it only more extraordinary that I will be running the London Marathon this April on behalf of West London Action for Children.

Prior to a recent 10k (331st out of 531 runners if you're asking), my last race was the 2001 Colet Court House Cross-Country so there's certainly  rust to be shaken off. Nothing will make this easier that some hefty donations to this worthwhile cause.

West London Action for Children is a small in independent charity that offers counselling and support to children and their families who suffer abuse, domestic violence, mental illness and bereavement. As an independent charity, they rely heavily on fundraising efforts such as my own to keep offering this essential support.

I appreciate that we are experiencing hard times and you are regularly asked to support efforts such as these, however, I would be most grateful if you could dig deep to contribute to this worthy cause.
