Kili4Kids - A Mountain, A Challenge, A Cause
Hi, thanks for visiting my Kili Challenge donation page.
I DID IT! I succesfully summitted Mount Kilimanjaro on Thursday 3 February 2011 at 8.02am. At 19,340 feet (5,895 metres) Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest free standing mountain in Africa.
It was a truly fantastic adventure and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip even climbing to the summit for 6 hours in minus 20 temperatures.
The support team, guides and porters were truly fantastic and we all agreed that the guides singing on summit night kept us going and pushed us on to reach the summit. A truly emotional experience and the sunrise on summit night at 6am was amazing.
