Charity

BBC Children in Need
BBC Children in Need is the UK’s largest children’s charity. With the help of our fantastic supporters, we are able to change the lives of around half a million disadvantaged children and young people across the UK every single year. This year’s televised Appeal is on Friday 17th of November and marks a whole year of people doing their thing to raise money for our cause. Our vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their potential. As a grant maker, we fund inspiring local people, projects and charities making a difference to young lives in all corners England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Every penny raised or donated goes towards these grants, and proving support to disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. We’re able to maintain this promise by using Gift Aid income to cover all running costs, meaning you can be sure your money makes a real difference.

Hi, thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

At the end of September 2012 I completed a cycle from Portsmouth 2 Penzance a total of 273 miles! raising money for Children In Need is the Plan. This will also be a personal challenge for me as before I created this site I haven't been cycling in over 20 years and that was only for fun nothing serious. On top of that have a prolapsed disc, am 47 years old and at the start of 2012 a bit over weight, well lot over weight really, since then I've lost nearly 3 stone! So now for the big one, John O'Groats 2 Lands End on May 6th 2013. The End 2 End or P2P (point to point, as it's sometimes called ) is likely to be around 900 miles! This time I'll have company, Colin McGregor a friend from work has said he is as mad as I am and would like to come, which is great news. Wish us luck.....

Below is a link to a Blog where my progress will be kept up to date

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
