My page:

Thank you for checking out the PAC-UK Great North Run 2017 page. PAC-UK exists to improve the lives of families and individuals affected by adoption and other forms of permanence by providing access to a range of individually tailored services and appropriate support depending on need. In addition we aim to increase the awareness and knowledge of professionals and the general public.

"Running the GNR is a great opportunity for me to combine the love for the work I do, and the love I have for a challenge. Adoption support work is not main stream, as it is often misunderstood, and shrouded by secretiveness and shame. So anything I can do to reduce that mystery, and to promote the crucial work we do with all effected by adoption, is really positive." Tanya Killick

"Personally, I am motivated to run this race now as I approach fifty to celebrate how lucky I am to still be able to even consider it on a physical level! Professionally my work in adoption support for PAC UK has been challenging, uplifting and inspiring in equal measures. I would love to raise enough money to touch the lives of people who might be helped by PAC UK into the future. We also need to complete solid outcomes research and hopefully some longitudinal studies to demonstrate the efficacy and long term impact of what we are doing-every penny helps!" Stuart Hannah

“I am thrilled to be part of the first ever PAC-UK Great North Run Team! I ran the London Marathon for PAC (as we were known back then) in 2012 and haven’t done much running since so am odds-on to finish behind Tanya and Stuart (who rumour has it have both already begun training, running clubs have even been mentioned!). Sitting close to our Head of Fundraising, Kate in our London office has definitely been of detriment to my knees but running for such a worthy cause makes it all worthwhile. I cannot wait to join Tanya and Stuart on the starting line in Newcastle… and see them at the finishing line for a well-earned drink!”  Leon Elias
