Charity
Cancer is the commonest cause of non-accidental death in teenagers and young adults in the UK. The award-winning youth cancer charity, The Laura Crane Trust funds research specifically into cancers affecting 13-24 year olds and also funds measures in hospitals to improve the lives of young cancer patients both during and in the aftermath of their treatment. This support has included funding staff to provide engaging activities and providing recreational equipment such as games consoles, TV/DVD players, MP3 players, musical instruments, art materials etc. to help fill some of the patients’ time spent in hospital and to relieve feelings of isolation.

Paul Boggon's Youth Cancer fundraising page
Hi, I'm Paul (or Plod) thanks for visiting my page.
Did you know that every day 6 teenagers and young adults are told they have cancer? A terrible statistic that has prompted me to run the Bupa London 10,000 in aid of the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.
This, perhaps lesser known, charity raise funds to specifically fight against cancer in young people through research and better treatments for young cancer patients. They also support projects to alleviate the feelings of isolation and loneliness felt by young patients.
You can find out more about Laura Crane at www.lauracranetrust.org
Anything you can do to support would be fab and thank you for any donations. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
