Tommy's goal is to reduce the incidence of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth which cause so much suffering to more than a quarter of all parents across the UK. Tommy's believes that disseminating information can help to minimise the risks inherent in pregnancy whilst medical research will increase our understanding of the fundamental causes and hence lead to identifying those most at risk and treating them.

Puddle Ducks Dorset Tommy's Splashathon
Once again, Puddle Ducks will be running a Splashathon in aid of Tommy's on week commencing 13th June!
As ever we will be running classes that week asking all our swimmers and their parents to wear pyjamas to their usual swimming lessons - focusing on lifesaving activities and allowing everyone the opportunity to feel what it is like to be clothed in the water.
We want to have lots of fun in these sessions and raise lots of funds for Tommy's Baby Charity. This will be our fifth year taking part in the event and we hope to be able to beat our national fundraising total of over £5000 last year.
We are urging swimmers to set up their own fundraising page, however if you don't then it would be fantastic if you could donate some money via this Puddle Ducks Dorset & West Hants page!
