The Charity engages with over 50,000 people every year delivering quality outcome focused and innovative programmes under the 6 themes; Football, Sport, Health, Community Cohesion, Schools and Education, and Disabilities. The charity delivers a wide range of programmes that engage people, raising aspirations and enabling continued participation, supporting their physical, educational and personal development to create a more active and healthier way of life. I have decided to embark on a series of events in aid of Norwich City Community Sports Foundation.

This year, I have taken part in a mixture of events for FUN, to CHALLENGE me and to RAISE money for CSF!

Below is a list of the events with the last one completed on Saturday 30th September 2017.

i have completed the gruelling Brighton marathon, some 10k runs, got covered in mud, twisted my ankle twice, fallen and endured an achy body following some of these. I now have 2 weeks to raise £250 so that it can be matched funded so please donate if you can. THANKS

Over the last few years i have worked closely with the charity and have seen 1st hand the difference they make to disabled and disadvantaged people in Norfolk by using the powerful tool of Sport.

The Charity will be celebrating a special anniversary next year (25 years) and i have set myself a target of £2,500.

To push myself and to deserve every penny i am hoping to raise i will be taking part in the following challenges;

Brighton Marathon 26.2 miles - Sunday 9th April 17 -COMPLETE

Completed the marathon (my first ever) in 4hrs 21! The day was excellent if not a bit warm at 21degrees. Hottest Brighton marathon ever.

I said for 10 days after I will never do a marathon again. Now, I am going to my name in for London? Wish me luck!!

Coastal Walk Challenge  -At the time of writing this, just 8 days until this challenge!  47 miles in 24 hours- Friday 9th and Saturday 10th June 17 -COMPLETE

Corporate Games 10k race and relay- Saturday 8th July 17 - COMPLETE, slower than I hoped for but was very warm with some hills to on grass.

Run Norwich 10K race- Sunday 6th August 17 COMPLETE

Spartan Sprint - Sunday 3rd September 17 -COMPLETE

Bear Grylls - 30th September 17 - COMPLETE

After each event is completed I will update everyone on how I get on.

I appreciate any donation, however small.

Thank you

Phil
