The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity is the official hospital charity of the Selly Oak and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. We support patients at the hospital by providing extra equipment and facilities, and by funding research. My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/polarnauts

We are cycling the Coast to Coast route over 3 days from Friday 11th May. Setting out from Whitehaven in the Lake District, we aim to reach Sunderland on the Sunday.

This is following on from the success of our cycle from John O'Groats in Scotland to Lands End in Cornwall covering over 1000 miles last year.

You'll will be able to see where we currently are on our www.polarnauts.com site.

---

We are preparing an expedition to the South Pole for and as part of our journey we intend to raise funds for the injured soldiers being treated by the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine. For details of our adventure, visit www.polarnauts.com

The Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) is based at University Hospital Birmingham and treats military patients who can be stationed anywhere in the world.

The hospital's charity, UHB Charities, has a fund specifically to support military patients at RCDM. It helps to provide equipment, research and training for the military patients that are above and beyond the standard level of care provided by the NHS.

Your donation can make a real difference to the military patients. Thank you for your interest, and if you would like to know any more about how you can support the RCDM, please contact us at charities@uhb.nhs.uk
