The Crudwell Village Hall And Recreation Ground
Crudwell is a thriving Village near the towns of Malmesbury, Tetbury and Cirencester. The village is an attractive stone-built village spread around two small greens, either side of the main road. There is an interesting medieval church built in the twelfth century & the only other building of note can be found next to the church. The former rectory was built in the 16th century & is now a hotel. Crudwell Village Hall & Recreation Ground raises funds for the ongoing maintenance and development of this central part of the Crudwell Village Community - the highlight of which is the 24 hour 'Le Mans' bike ride held every June. The Crudwell ‘Le Mans’ 24hr Bike Ride came about as a means to raise funds to build a new Village Hall. Once this was achieved the event went on to raise funds for charity. In 2005 it raised a staggering £24,320.00 in total. Since its inception in 1990, it has been held every year with the exception of 2006 and 2013. Each year it has grown both in terms of the number of riders participating and the level of sponsorship raised, but its most important objectives are still to enjoy yourself and have fun whilst raising money for charity. Every year the funds raised are split 50/50 between the Village Hall and individual charities chosen by the 30+ teams who enter the event.

Crudwell 'Le Mans' 24 Hour Bike Ride is an annual community fundraising event where teams of all ages and ability participate to raise money for their chosen charity and the local Crudwell Village Hall. It is also fun to see which team can complete the most laps in 24 hours.

The Crudwell School Pupil Power team will be competing in the under 11 years category once again on 24 & 25 June. The team has had a fantastic record in this category in recent years and it would be great to make our school and local community proud again this year. 60% of the funds raised by the Pupil Power team go to the school charity, Friends of Crudwell School (FOCS). This charity supports all the 'extra bits' for our children at the school such as equipment, education resources, trips out and refurbishment projects.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor our pupils and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Crudwell Village Hall Charity. From there, the 60% portion going to FOCS will be sent directly to our school. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for your donation.
