Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Over half of all cancer research in the UK is carried out by our scientists. We have discovered new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer that together have saved millions of lives across the world. We have been at the heart of the progress that has already seen survival rates double in the last thirty years. But one in three of us will still get cancer at some point in our lives. Our groundbreaking work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people will survive.
Pancreatic Cancer Uk
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of any cancer. Pancreatic Cancer UK is determined to make a difference by providing support and information to those affected and by raising awareness and funding research. It provides advocacy for patients and families and lobbying to achieve higher priority for pancreatic cancer.

*UPDATE*

On 23 June Pete Ezard will be running the Sherwsbury half marathon as part of our ongoing fundraising. Pete lost his Dad to pancreatic cancer nine years ago so it a cause he is very passionate about.

On the same date, Sarah Collings will be taking part in an aquathon. Being a swimmer, she's not used to being on dry land so the run will take her well out of her comfort zone!

___________________________________________________________________________

In 2012 we lost our dear friend and colleage Andy Husband to pancreatic cancer. In 2013 we want to keep his memory alive through a series of challenges and fundraising events.

We're going to end the year with a sporting auction gala dinner. We'll post details as soon as they are confirmed.

Why not add this page to your favourites so you can keep up to date with our fundraising activities?
