Veterans In Action
Veterans In Action (VIA) is a UK based charity specialising in the social reintegration of socially excluded HM Forces Veterans. The overriding aim of VIA is to help those who suffer the effect of war or who find the transition to civilian life difficult. VIA us a unique Program called ALIVE that has been developed by charity founder Billy MacLeod that uses adventurous activities and expeditions to help rebuild the confidence, self-esteem and self-belief in the veterans who take part. As an addition to these activities VIA have developed its first ALIVE Centre on a private rural estate in the Hampshire countryside where exciting projects are run for the veterans who attend. 20 like minded people, be they serving sappers, retired sappers or civvies who have an affinity for pain and endurance, have decided to raise money for Veterans In Action (www.v-i-a.org.uk) by riding 1000 miles in 24 hours - no mean feat considering we're doing it on UK roads.

...Calling at RE Bases in Manchester, Elgin (Highlands of Scotland), Cambridge (Waterbeach) and finishing at our ancestral home in Chatham.
