Charities

Family Holiday Association
For over 30 years, the Family Holiday Association has been giving deprived children a much-needed family break, usually at the British seaside. All of the families we help are coping with difficult circumstances, such as poverty, bereavement, domestic violence, family break-up, or chronic illness. For most of the children, it's their first ever trip to the seaside, and first ever break away with their family.
Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre
Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre aims to give children and young people to opportunity to learn to ride and to care for horses. The majority of the children have special or additional needs and would otherwise not be able to experience the wonderful joy of horses. We have a beautiful Centre in West London including stabling for sixteen horses and ponies and a lovely indoor riding arena. The Pony Centre relies on a great team of volunteers who work to maintain the centre. We depend on fundraising to bring in our much needed income. Donors are welcome to make a time to visit us.

Ride Round England 2013

Fundraiser:
William Reddaway

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RideRoundEngland

I will ride to Four Corners of England via the centres of towns and cities built and lived in for centuries by people with horses, visiting 30 cathedrals on the way. The distance is around 2,500 miles. The ride will start from Farncombe Estate on the side of the Cotswolds in Spring 2013 and take six months.

In February 2012 I bought my horse, Strider, especially for the ride which gives 15 months for our training.

All funds raised will be divided equally between my two chosen charities.  The Family Holiday Association and Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre - Riding for the Disabled. You can find out more about these charities by clicking on the logos on the left of the page.

You can follow our progress at www.rideroundengland.org or join us on facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/#!/rideroundengland And Strider is tweeting at https://twitter.com/riderndengland; mostly being rude about me.
