Starting in April Oli Goulden and Matthieu Liard will travel by bicycle from Shanghai to London. After crossing the breadth of China, we will pass through 16 other countries, cross four deserts, climb the equivalent of Mt. Everest three times, experience temperatures from -8 (Kyrgyzstan) to 43°C (Turkey) and pitch our tent in some of the most inhospitable terrains in the world.

This is our planned route:

China – Kyrgyzstan – Tajikistan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan - Iran – Turkey - Bulgaria – Serbia - Croatia - Slovenia – Italy - Switzerland – France – Luxembourg - Belgium -  England

Along the route Operation Smile are setting up three mission stations where they will perform corrective surgery on children with cleft palate or facial deformities. We will help them on the ground during the time of the operations and will also do our utmost best to raise the funds to cover around 100 operations.

Between the expedition and the work with Operation Smile it's our ambition to give hope to a handful of kids and inspire others to make the most of their life.

If you cannot afford to donate to the cause please help by sharing our story. If you can afford to donate rest assured that all of the money given on this site goes direct to the charity and does not help fund our expedition.
