Hi,

First of all a BIG Thank you for visiting my page.

I am doing a charity cycling for 60 miles from Cambridge to London on 21/08/2010 to raise money for a building project for a Shelter home housing 14 orphaned children and 4 women who are HIV positive in Chennai, India. The proceeds of this event will go for their building project through Bridge of Love Charity, London.

These children had no one to care for them and would have been in the streets if not for the love and refuge given by this Shelterhome. Now they have come to know the love of Jesus and being cared for and are with an eternal hope in their hopeless situation.

I acknowledge, that this is the first challeging sport activity I have ever done. When Mr.Goodwin from Bridge of Love shared with me the plight of these children affected by AIDS when they were asked to vacate their rented accomodation and forced to move to a temporary shleter in hot weather of Chennai,India,I  wanted to do something for them. Two of the children died because of the hot conditions.

Bridge of Love (BOL) and Kingdom Business Ministries (KBM) have been jointly supporting these children since June 2008. Sis.Indumathy Naidu, founder of KBM and ex-Emmanuel Tamil Christian Fellowship (ETCF) worker along with Sis.Padma is spiritually guiding these HIV victims giving eternal hope in their hopeless situation.BOL has so far given funding worth of more than £2000 for medicine and building funds.

As the bible says "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you", please join me to help these poor children.

Whilst I am sure I will feel pretty tired by the end of the event, I at least know my pain will only be temporary.  I will set off from Cambridge on August 21 at 8:30am, hopefully reaching Manor Park christian Centre, London, E12 at around 1:00 pm.

So based on what you have just read, please donate what you can afford on this virginmoneygiving page, which is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity "Bridge of Love" and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So it’s the most efficient way to donate - and by this I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please donate what you can afford now! You can also pay by paypal in my blog www.robertcycling.co.uk

I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
