We enable poor communities to take action together to achieve children’s rights to an education, decent healthcare, clean drinking water and more. We give long-term practical support so poor communities can improve the lives of their children and themselves.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me for the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 October 2015, and donations will be quickly processed and passed to my chosen charity, Plan. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

Plan's work on disaster risk management promotes an innovative and effective humanitarian approach to tackling the escalation of disasters affecting today's children, their families and future generations. Plan is also working in Syria and other countries where there are child refugees from conflict.

I ran my first marathon in May 2015 in Newport, Oregon, and completed it in 4 hours, 9 minutes and 33 seconds. I am aiming to finish the Royal Parks Half Marathon in under 2 hours. Your support will help to propel me to the finishing line, so thank you!
