Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit this page. On Saturday June 4th, me and three of my bestest friends will be attempting to complete the Oxfam trailtrekker 2011, a non-stop 100km hike that must be completed in 30 hrs, straight through, no sleep, no nothing except sore legs, feet and hopefully the jubilation of crossing the finish line.
I'll update this page with details of how our training is going, blisters, tears and all.
I did the event in 2009 and now 2 years on, am doing it again. Im doing it for many reasons, sure, there's some pathetic male ego "I'm getting old, but i've still got it, even in me bathchair!" reasons, also it's a great thing to do with mates.
Most of all it's an opportunity to raise some money for Oxfam, who do incredible work helping vulnerable people all over the world. I always feel confident that giving money to Oxfam really does directly benefit those people they are trying to help and their dedicated staff on the ground all over the world are able to keep helping people who really need it, because of your kind donations.
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations however large all small.
