Hi,
well I've decided to give the London marathon another try, my last attempt was cut short by a broken leg after slipping on the ice in training!
Although I like running I've never even completed a half-marathon so this is a big challenge especially with my ageing body! I'm aiming for a respectable time of 3:45 which is going to mean a lot of hard work on long cold dark winter runs.
As an additional challenge I'm going to run it bare-foot or maybe with my Vibram five fingers which is basically the same thing, they are weird rubber socks with toes!
I'm running to raise money for Green Pastures Housing, a charity I share an office with, which provides housing for homeless and vulnerable people. They house over 400 people and with the help of local church groups help people get back on their feet.
Sharing an office with the charity and knowing Rory one of their managers really well I get to see first hand how hard they work changing people's lives. Your money will definitely be well used to help eradicate homelessness in Britain.
