Rob Wilson's 3 Peak's Challenge!

Fundraiser:
Rob Wilson

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RobWilson

Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

A combination of mid life crisis and a desire to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged people in our local community has seen me sign up to complete the "3 Peaks Challenge" with 23 colleagues from Aviva

We set off on our challenge on 31st May 2012 - not only is this an endurance challenge but I also need to get seriously fit and shed about 2 stone before I can take part so you can also think of it as a sponsored slim!!  (I get out of puff walking up Ketts Hill so this is not going to be easy!)

What ?

On 1st June, we start the continual climb of the 3 highest mountains in Scotland, England & Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon)

• 10,000ft up and down
• Walking 24+ miles
• Driving over 450 miles

Throughout the night, tired, aching and likely to be hitting many walls both physical and mentally with the sole purpose of raising over £7,000 between us.

Why ?

Norwich City Community Sports Foundation works with individuals with a range of physical and learning disabilities with focus on caring and inspiring disabled people. Their focus is providing "Sporting Light"

It helps others who face both physical and mental challenges throughout their lifetime, ours will be just a few days climbing mountains.

The "Sporting Light Appeal" supports over 50,000 people every year achieve their goals through sport, supporting some of the most disadvantaged, disabled and talented people across Norfolk.

In the morning of Friday June 1st we will be summiting the last of our Peaks.

Your support will really make a difference to us, the children and the adults who benefit from the monies raised through the “Sporting Light Appeal”

How ?

Through this site you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed straight to "Sporting Light" foundation and we can claim gift aid on the charity's behalf. Its really easy, just click the "donate now" button to the right and the site will giude you through.
I really appreciate all your support and thanks again for your donation.
