Anton and Mark Row the Amazon

Mark de Rond

My page:

Dr Mark de Rond and Anton Wright from the University of Cambridge are embarking on an amazing challenge:

"We aim to row the entire length of the Amazon unsupported, some 2,200 miles, and, if successful, are likely to be the first in history to have achieved this.

The adventure begins in Peru on 1 September, and our goal is to reach the Brazilian coast six weeks later."

Mark has spent several years observing and researching teams of people in difficult circumstances, and has decided it's time to experience first-hand what an endeavour like this will yield by joining Anton on his expedition.

“Along the way we would like to raise money for Leonard Cheshire Disability and their partner organisations in South America.  Leonard Cheshire Disability is a charity supporting disabled people to live independently, to contribute economically, and to participate fully in society both here in the UK and in over 50 countries worldwide.

Please help us make a difference to the lives of disabled people around the world by donating today.”

Thank You
