NSPCC
The NSPCC's purpose is to end cruelty to children. Our vision is of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential. We seek to achieve cultural, social and political change - influencing legislation, policy, practice, attitudes and behaviours and delivering services for the benefit of all children and young people across the UK and Channel Islands. In September 2008, the NSPCC launched its Child's Voice Appeal to answer more children's cries for help. Every day, thousands of children and young people need to talk to ChildLine about a problem they face, while hundreds of caring adults call the NSPCC Helpline, worried about a child's safety. With the help of people like you, ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline are already there for thousands of children and young people, but many more need our help. We rely on the generosity of the general public to continue our work.

Thank you for your kind donations to my fundraising efforts. I successfully met my target with three whole days to spare!

You can also track me live on race day via the official marathon webpage www.virginlondonmarathon.com, using my running number 44540.

If you are making it to London on Sunday it would be great if you could cheer me and my battered knees around the 26,2 miles. There are 5 designated NSPCC cheer points, that you are welcomed to join.

1. Mile 6 (Cutty Sark) - 10:40am
2. Mile 13 (Tower Bridge) - 11:40am
3. Miles 14 and 21 (Limehouse) - 11:55am and 12:55pm (if my knees allow me)
4. Mile 23 (Tower Hill) - 1:15pm (gulp)
5. Mile 24.5 (Embankment) - 1:25pm (I wish)

Finish Area is St. James's Park, meeting point C - 1:45pm (I dreamed a dream...). But this is expected to be extremely busy. It is recommended to meet the runners at the reception at the Mall Galleries.

You find maps with the exact locations (marked with an "A") on my blog: http://royruns.com/cheerpoints

Again, thank you all and see or hear from you!
