WaterAid is an international charity. Our mission is to overcome poverty by enabling the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. For a gift of just £15 WaterAid can enable one person in Africa or Asia access to these basic services.

James Girling's North Pole Marathon
On 13th April 2013 I will attempt to overcome the extreme sub-zero temperatures to run 26.2 miles in one of the remotest parts of the planet in the North Pole Marathon. It's literally the World's coolest marathon!
This marathon is not run on land – I will be 'running on water', the frozen water of the Arctic ice floes, with 6 to 12 feet separating me from 12,000 feet of Arctic Ocean.
It's an epic challenge – one which I'm doing for a fantastic charity.
WaterAid transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities. To date WaterAid has helped over 13 million people gain access to safe water.
Please dig deep when you donate - just £15 will provide a person in the developing world with a lasting supply of water, effective sanitation and hygiene education.
The money raised on this page will be in addition to the corporate sponsorship that I'm trying to get, which should give a grand total of around £20,000 for WaterAid.
