Ruth's Great North Run 2011
Hi, thanks for visiting my page.
On 18th September 2011 I will be joining 53,999 others on the Great North Run in Newcastle. This will be my first half Marathon and whilst a huge challenge for me, this will also be a celebration of over a year's hard work getting fit to run, resulting in well over 3 stone less of me now pounding the steets.
Any token of support you are able to give, however small will go to a great cause - Kidney Research UK
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
Great North Run completed - amazing atmosphere, great organisation, fantastic support from all the helpers, entertainers, charities, the thousands that lined the route - and what a send off from Mo Farah and the Red Arrows!
