Willmott running for Oxfam

Well after the strains and pains of the London Marathon in April i vowed not to run again..well anything over a mile! With the hamstrings repaired, the toe nails re-grown and the deep heat stocks increased i have been dropped in it once again to run for charity!

This time i will be running London's Run to the Beat half marathon, I will be raising money for Oxfam, Everyone has the right to a life worth living – and to the basic things that many take for granted. Im hoping to raise money so that those less fortunate can have a better quality of life.

So what do Oxfam do......It’s a basic question, but a good one. Why does Oxfam bother? Why put so much energy into saving lives, campaigning for change, and developing projects to give people more control over their future?

The answer is basic too. Belief – belief that in a wealthy world poverty is unjustifiable, and can be prevented. Belief that injustice must be challenged. And belief that with the right help, poor people themselves can change their lives for the better, for good.
