Quest4Change
Quest4Change works in Africa and South America, fighting poverty and environmental destruction. We are a small focused charity working with project partners in some of the poorest areas, helping those who need it most. Over the last 13 years our supporters have raised over £1.3million, 100% of which has gone to the grassroots projects we work with. One of our main aims is to relieve financial hardship and poverty in disadvantaged groups, working especially to improve the lives of children. We achieve this in a wide range of ways, through improving health and educational infrastructure in Malawi and Tanzania to enriching the lives of children living in urban slums in Peru and Brazil through the provision of sporting and cultural activities. We also help construct basic home for some of the poorest families in Peru and work to protect the environment through our conservation and animal care projects in Peru and Bolivia. By supporting Quest4Change you will help empower and enrich the lives of real people. We currently support projects in Kenya, Peru, Tanzania, Bolivia, Malawi, Brazil and Swaziland.

Quest4Change Fundraising Half Marathon

Fundraiser:

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/samokane

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

My name is Sam O'Kane, I am a student currently studying Civil and Structural Engineering at The University of Sheffield. On the 7th of March this year my father, Patrick O'Kane, and myself will be running the Haweswater Half Marathon in order to raise money for the charity quest4change. This money will specifically go towards funding an ongoing project in Villa Maria, Peru, one of the largest shanty towns in the world. Villa Maria is home to about 700,000 people living in a state of extreme poverty. The appalling living conditions bring on family break up leading to single parent families struggling for money and children consequently suffering as a result.

Your money will go towards the construction of new houses for the families in most need of basic warmth, sanitation, and conditions required to live a healthy life. As well as this you will also be contributing to a summer recreation programme for the children of Villa Maria, providing an enjoyable experience as well as keeping them out of trouble.

We are very grateful for any donations you can contribute. In the summer I will be volunteering on the project in Villa Maria, afterwards I will send out to everyone who has donated a report and pictures showing them the families and children your money has gone towards helping.

Thank You

Sam & Patrick O'Kane
