Macmillan Cancer Support
At Macmillan, we know cancer can affect everything. Your body, your relationships, your money, everything. But Macmillan is here to help people live life, no matter what. We give you the support you need to hold on to who you are and what’s important. But right now, we can’t reach everyone who needs us. Almost half of us will get cancer, and we need your help to make sure that people get the support they need to face one of the toughest fights of their lives. Life with cancer is still life -let’s help people live it. We are a charity registered in England and Wales (261017), Scotland (SCO39907) and the Isle of Man (604).
ACLT - African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust
ACLT is a charity committed to helping provide hope to patients living with blood cancer and other illnesses where a matched donor (stem cell, blood or organ) is required to save a life. Our work is driven by a belief that no one should die waiting for a donor to become available. Through our work, we improve odds of finding matches by registering potential donors on mass from all ethnicities, with a focus on donors from the African and Caribbean communities. This is due to an extreme shortage of African and Caribbean potential donors, signed to all three donor registries. ACLT also provide support and advice to patients and their families, from diagnosis, throughout treatment, recovery and sadly (in some cases), while supporting the patient and family during end of life, where treatments have not been successful.
The Rudolph Walker Foundation
The Rudolph Walker Foundation (RWF) exists to empower, support and strengthen young people to develop creativity, inspire perseverance and to help young people to flourish The RWF is a charitable organisation that strives to promote creativity and inspire people through the use of drama and the production of drama. We aim to build on lifelong skills such as confidence, team work, self-esteem and self worth. RWF is aimed at anyone of any age, creed, colour, ability and background and provides teaching and training from experts in the arts industry in chosen areas of study, such as producing, acting, directing and writing, although the foundation is not solely or exclusively aimed at people who wish to go into the arts. The Foundation believes it can help many to reach their true potential in any given field by simply just coming together and working together, this is needed in any path in life The Foundation’s core objectives are to Empower, Support & Strengthen young people Improve life chances Maximise the potential of young people and adults by identifying and responding to unmet needs
Urban Synergy

In addition to our mentoring programme, we run Academic and Role Model seminars at many local schools. #Silimanjaro.

After recovering from Cancer, BBC broadcaster, actor & comedian Eddie Nestor decided to work his way through his bucket list and enlisted the help of his best mate, wife, manager & his fitness instructor to undertake the climb of a lifetime.

In July 2015, team Silimanjaro started their ascent up Mount Kilimanjaro. With determination and group effort, they all completed the ardous climb up Africa's highest mountain.

#Sliimanjaro organised a series of fun events in the lead up to the climb in order to maximise funds raised and to raise awareness about the 4 selected charities.

#Silimanjaro kicked off their fundraising campaign at Soul Village 2014 where over £406 was raised when Robbie Gee undertook the ice bucket challeng and £50 was donated by Sharkey DJ.
