Weston Park Cancer Charity
Our aim is to create a better life for cancer patients and their families who are under the care of Weston Park Hospital. We invest in pioneering cancer research projects, fund local cancer support services and provide important enhancements to patient care. Our work improves the lives of cancer patients from across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire.
St Luke's Hospice
We care for people aged 18 and above throughout Sheffield who have incurable illnesses. Our aim is always to control their symptoms, alleviate pain, and give them the best possible quality of life, all free of charge. Many, many thousands of lives have been touched by St Luke’s. People who are patients themselves, or have a friend or relative who has been cared for at St Luke’s know at first hand the value of what we do. Our specialist, dedicated staff control patients' symptoms and alleviate pain to ensure that they’re physically comfortable, as well as attending to their emotional and spiritual wellbeing, their wishes, anxieties and hopes. To us every patient is an individual with unique needs and preferences, so we care for the whole person. We do everything in our power to support, comfort, and inspire patients, adding quality to life at a time in their lives when every day matters more than ever. As well as caring for patients, we support, advise and counsel their families through what can be a difficult and distressing time for them. St Luke’s doesn’t only look after in-patients. Some people do stay in our in-patient rooms, but others attend our Therapies and Rehabilitation Centre as day patients; and throughout Sheffield our community nurses give patients the benefit of their advice and expertise, helping them to stay at home for longer and remain as active and independent as possible.

My page:

Sheffield Mums against Cancer is a fundraising group, of local mums and supporters joinging forces to fight back against Cancer!

Our aim is to generate much needed funds for Sheffield Based Cancer Charities, for boths research & treatment of existing & future sufferers but also to support the paliative needs of a exitsing patients and their families. We have chosen to support Weston Park and St Lukes, Both of whom taken such good care of our loved ones and friends past and present. We passionately want to support their commitment to research and development into treatments, the cure, care and support for Patients and their families as much we can.

Having all been effected by this awful undiscriminating desease in some way or another we all felt compelled to do something more, to take a stand and play our part in the fight against cancer.

This year we are taking to our feet again in the Smac:Triple S Challenge where if you are man or woman enough you can select three personal challenges to test your speed, strength and stamina!! The first of which being the Sheffield Hilly Half in April. Runners can then select 2 other events and name the race and date on FB! Heres hopeing its going to be an epic summer of fundraising for two very great causes....and honouring some very special people to boot!! If you would like to join us feel free to email at for more information

Please help us along the way and sponsor us & donate what you can for these two great causes
