Charity
Every year, The Snowdon Award Scheme provides students who have a physical or sensory disability, with grants ranging from £250 to £2,500. These help cover additional costs, like computers, mobility equipment or human help that push up the already high costs of being a student or trainee. Whether they fund a sign language interpreter, someone to take notes, a laptop with special software or other assistive technology, carer's accommodation, transport or something more specific, our grants can change people's lives. They provide students with the opportunity to access education or training and enjoy a level of independence that would not otherwise be possible. Anyone with a physical or sensory impairment who is undertaking a course of further or higher education or other vocational training can apply to us for help with their disability-related study costs.

Oxford Brookes University Boat Club
Over the last two decades OBUBC has become one of the top student boat clubs. The Prince Albert Challenge Cup last year was our twenty-third win at Henley since 1993. We currently have plans for a major development of our boathouse, and it will provide an excellent home for the Snowdon Rowing Challenge trophy! Olympic and World Champions Steve Williams and Alex Partridge will be key OBUBC alumni in our team, while the current students are all U23 internationals; Chris Abraham, Karl Hudspith, Matthew Tarrant and myself.
Please support our team and make a donation to our target for the Snowdon Award Scheme!
