Charities

YMCA London South West
YMCA London South West is a charity that has been serving the local community since 1874. We work from four main centres, providing a range of services including supported housing, health and fitness, childcare, youth work and catering. We are the largest provider of housing for the homeless in South West London and last year we helped and housed over 400 people, many as young as 16 years old.
Macmillan Cancer Support
At Macmillan, we know cancer can affect everything. Your body, your relationships, your money, everything. But Macmillan is here to help people live life, no matter what. We give you the support you need to hold on to who you are and what’s important. But right now, we can’t reach everyone who needs us. Almost half of us will get cancer, and we need your help to make sure that people get the support they need to face one of the toughest fights of their lives. Life with cancer is still life -let’s help people live it. We are a charity registered in England and Wales (261017), Scotland (SCO39907) and the Isle of Man (604).
Young Epilepsy
Young Epilepsy is the national charity working exclusively on behalf of children and young people with epilepsy. With over 100 years of experience we are a leading provider of specialist health and education services. We offer support, information, training for health, social care and education professionals and campaigns to improve access to, and quality of, health and education services.

Hi and thanks for visiting our page.  A team of 20 runners from the Stragglers running club in Kingston upon Thames wil be running over 1,000 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End from Sunday 17 July to Saturday 23 July 2011 in a continuous 24 hour baton relay.  We are raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support (70%), YMCA London South West (15%) and the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (15%).

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

For further information on the relay and the reasons for the charities that we have chosen, please see the team's website ( http://www.stragjogle.co.uk/) which will take you through to the team blog and point you in the direction of our facebook page and Twitter account (@StragJOGLE2011) through which you can keep up to date with our progress.

Your support is very much appreciated
