Hi everyone.

I will be leaving the UK on 20 May and flying to Zambia to cycle about 300 miles from Lusaka to Livingstone, in temperatures of 85-95 degrees, to raise much needed funds for St Raphael's Hospice, a hospice in Surrey who I have raised funds for before on various cycle rides and last year by trekking to Machu Picchu, in Peru.

The Hospice needs over £5m per year to exist, of which only £1m is provided by the NHS. All other funds are raised through voluntary donations. Please support me and give as generously as you can to support this wonderful charity and if you are a taxpayer, please tick the Gift Aid box when doing so. I thank you in advance for your kindness, a virtue much in evidence at St Raphael's.

As always, I will produce a Journal about the cycle ride and share it with you after the 'challenge'!!

Best wishes to you all

Joe
