Africa Now is an award winning international development charity that believes markets can offer a sustainable route out of poverty for struggling small-scale producers and workers across Africa. Africa Now works to increase household income using innovative yet simple solutions, supporting farmers to provide for their families and plan for a more prosperous future. Africa Now does this by providing training on value addition and new and improved processes and techniques, by providing links to finance institutions where farmers can gain access to affordable credit and save for the future, and by providing links to reliable buyers who will pay a regular and fair price. Africa Now’s enterprising development projects are currently in operation in Kenya and Zambia. In addition our Ethical Business Services (EBS) team provides ethical audits and small-scale needs assessments of farms and factories across Africa. Africa Now's EBS team builds the capacity of farmers groups and conducts training on Fairtrade certification, Premiums and Committees, and Rainforest Alliance certification. EBS aims to secure a greater share for African products in the global market.
