Action For Children
Action for Children supports and speaks out for the UK's most vulnerable, disadvantaged and neglected children and young people. We’ve been working with children since 1869, and currently run nearly 500 projects across the UK supporting around 50,000 children and young people. This makes us the UK’s leading provider of family and community centres and services for disabled children and young people leaving care. We also promote social justice by lobbying and campaigning for change.

Hi, thanks for visiting our Byte Night 2011 fundraising page!

We thought you might like to hear an update on how it all went... Well, we didn't manage to escape the rain on the night, however some of us slept right through the rain. Lovely as Forbury Park was, it's not something we'd like to do every night. It was cold.

However, we met some really inspiring young people on the night who had been helped by Action for Children and the funds raised by Byte Night. We were also impressed by the sheer size of the Byte Night community on the night - nationwide 800 people slept out in London, Edinburgh, Cambridge and Thames Valley (Reading).

The funds raised through Byte Night makes a huge difference to the children and young people Action for Children reaches out to. The good news is that it's not too late to show your support!

Kind regards,

Team Causeway

Slept out for Byte Night 2011

07.10.11 I donated a gallon of finest ale, but Paypal foolishly converted it into your pitiful and non-intoxicating Pounds Sterling. I am writing this on what remains of my laptop, after I crushed PayPal with my hammer. This was the price of its arrogance.
