Cystic Fibrosis Trust
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK's only national charity dealing with all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis. It funds research to treat the symptoms of CF and to find an effective treatment. It also aims to ensure appropriate healthcare for those with Cystic Fibrosis and provides information, advice and support to people with CF and their families across the UK. Cystic Fibrosis is one of the most common, life-threatening diseases in the UK. It affects over 9,000 people and 1 in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes Cystic Fibrosis. If two carriers start a family, each child has a 1 in 4 chance of having Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus making it hard to breathe and to digest food. People with Cystic Fibrosis have to endure a rigorous daily treatment regime including physiotherapy to clear the chest, inhaled and injected drugs to thin the mucus and fight infections and dozens of enzyme pills to help digest food. Each week, five babies are born with CF and sadly, each week three young lives are lost. Only half of those with Cystic Fibrosis are likely to live past their late 30s, but a baby born today can expect to live longer. We seek to continually improve standards of care for people with CF; we commission cutting-edge clinical and scientific research; and provide practical and accurate information to people with CF and their families. None of this would be possible without the support of the CF community and the generosity of the public.
The Prince's Trust
The Prince's Trust gives vulnerable young people the skills and confidence to stabilise their lives. We help them overcome barriers such as homelessness, poverty, offending and mental health problems. Together we can help young people towards the future they deserve - not the one they ended up with. Together we can save young lives.

Team Riot Club (AKA Dave, Tom, Nick) decided to take on a challenge this year.

Cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats, the furthest possible distance in the British Isles, we will start at Land’s End on the south-westerly tip of England and pedal our way through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and head north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District and into Scotland, via lochs and the highlands to the North Coast and John O’Groats.

In all we will cover roughly 1000 miles, passing through some of the most stunning and remote countryside in the British Isles. So why not raise some money for charity at the same time!!!!!

Team Riot Club are raising money for two amazing charities, The Princes Trust & Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The Princes Trust is an amazing charity working to support kids and young adults and the company we work for “Worldpay” is a big supporter of them so we would like to support this charity.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is another amazing charity that is trying to create a world where being born with CF no longer means a life-long struggle, when everyone living with the condition will be able to look forward to a long and healthy life.

Please help us get to our target, Thanks for all your help Team Riot Club

More about the charities below:

The Prince’s Trust is an ambitious and innovative organisation, constantly seeking new ways to provide even better support to our young people.

Globally, it is estimated that around 70 million young people – more than one in 10 – are out of work. Having built effective programmes and strong partnerships to help young people into jobs and self-employment in the United Kingdom, public and private organisations around the world have been turning to us in their search for solutions to youth unemployment and to learn from our experience in helping young people into work.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to fighting for a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis (CF) for everyone affected by the condition.

Whats is CF

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition affecting more than 10,800 people in the UK. You are born with cystic fibrosis and cannot catch it later in life, but one in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without even knowing.

The gene affected by CF controls the movement of salt and water in and out of cells. People with cystic fibrosis experience a build-up of thick sticky mucus in the lungs, digestive system and other organs, causing a wide range of challenging symptoms affecting the entire body.
