SURF works to ensure that survivors of the genocide in Rwanda and the UK are supported, memories and victims of the genocide are never forgotten, and that the lessons of the genocide are learned. Our funders include Comic Relief and DFID, and hopefully you.

the life you can save
i like peter singer's idea from his book the life you can save (website) that you can make a significant difference to world poverty by donating 1% of your income - or if you earn more than a certain amount you donate more. (you can work out how much here.) the catch is everyone has to do it.
also i am interested in what is happening in rwanda and i'd like to do something to help the survivors of the rwandan genocide so i sponsor two survivors, Niwemutoni (born 1995) and her grandmother (born 1938) who live together in Munyiginya, Rwamagana.
money raised through this page will go to support SURF's activities. SURF is a not for profit which was set up by Mary Kayitesi Blewitt, a survivor of the genocide.
i am not a fan of virgin but the SURF people wrote to me and said this was the cheapest way for them to get my money every month.
