The Running Fundraiser 'Going Crazy for Cats'

It's Wednesday 19th April and I have not been feeling very well since Saturday evening, not the best way to end my taper prior to the London Marathon.

Brighton Marathon was amazing on Sunday 9th April, the weather was too hot of course, but it's very rarely exactly right! I managed a time of 4:05, which I was very pleased with and will give a sub 4 hour marathon one more chance on Sunday 23rd April.

After Brighton I rested for 4 full days, before lacing up my trainers for a short recovery run and a fun charity 5K with the kids and also managed another relaxed pace 10K on Saturday morning too before the lurgy caught up with me.

Next task is to get my head in gear as feeling poorly does not make you the most positive person on the planet, snuffling my way through balsom tissues and sucking strepsils. But I will not be beaten.

Hoping to get back to some core work on Thursday and back in my trainers for one last but relaxed run to get positive vibes running through my legs and veins.

A Marathon is not only a physical and mental challenge but also a way to raise awareness and funds for many great charitable causes. I am close to my fundraising target with only £400 to go, if you can spare any pennies to help me, I will be very grateful.

My reason to run is to help the volunteers looking after local cats in north Bristol, fostering in their own homes, taking to the vets for vacinations, treatments, neutering and helping to re-home every cat and kitten into a loving environment.

Thanks

Debbie
